Dirty dancefloors, and dreams of naughtiness

The Arctic Monkeys have been cranking out of my iPod's earbuds for some time now and I am totally hooked. These guys sound so passionate and it's unbelievable. Who said there's no place for real bands anymore? The monkeys mix an awesome brew of punk, postpunk/new wave and early nineties UK indiepop. The unmistakenly British vocals complement a wonderful sense of street-poetry from the lyrics.
Go get this one! Ta for now.

Getting it on with the next big(?) thing

I have just opened an account at 30boxes. There's been a lot of buzz from some major bloggers about this web 2.0 online calendar, so I'm pretty stoked on trying it out.

My first impression is very good. Like Gmail, it has a dedicated mobile (phone) version of the site. You can almost enter dates in 'real' language, which sounds gimmicky, but really offers very neat functionality. For instance, if I want to enter Oliver's birthday, I'll type Oliver's birthday August 16 repeat yearly and I'm done.
You can subscribe from iCal, invite people at entering an activity, connect to flickr, use several e-mail addresses, skins are swappable an some alternative ones are already available, and reminders are in the works. At this moment the first Firefox extension (or hack rather) has already been made available - through which you can enter appointments to the search bar in Firefox.

This sure seems like a nice one! Go have a look for yourself
